OUR STORY Nostra:Biome was founded by Calin Popescu, a serial entrepreneur and inventor after he spent over 10 years suffering from IBD that did not respond to traditional medications. Frustrated with the lack of options, Mr. Popescu applied his expertise in technology to develop a personalized approach to understanding and treating the disease.

After extensive testing and analysis, Mr. Popescu discovered correlations and patterns in the disease that allowed him to attack specific elements and gradually improve his symptoms. He realized that IBD requires a personalized approach, tailored to the unique factors that influence the disease in each individual.

Mr. Popescu healed from IBD by modulating his microbiome and creating a technology framework and mindset that might help millions of people.

We believe that precision and personalized medicine is the key to solving the complex puzzle of IBD. Using groundbreaking innovations in computer vision and artificial intelligence, we aim to hack and break the inflammatory code of each individual and recommend chronological steps to reverse the symptoms of the disease.

OUR THESIS

Traditional mass medical approaches have failed to address the complexity of IBD. We know that a personalized and advanced technological approach is necessary to address the multitude of factors that trigger IBD.

We reject the notion that IBD is an untreatable immune response. Instead, we understand it as a normal response to a variety of causes that are not fully understood and are mostly activated by an improper gut microbiome configuration.

We believe that the pure essence of the disease which is so personal makes it totally incompatible with the mass medicine approach that wants to find statistically relevant general solutions.
